Meet Johnny
John Hazen White, Jr.
Executive Chairman, Taco Family of Companies
When recession hit in the early 1990s, John Hazen White, Jr. convinced his father to restructure rather than relocate Taco (pronounced tay-ko), betting the company’s future on its Rhode Island workforce. Three decades later, that decision transformed a regional manufacturer into a global enterprise operating across three continents while remaining rooted in Cranston. Through the White Family Foundation, he supports education, civic reform, the arts, and community projects across Rhode Island.
“When people are happy and safe and their families have the chance to grow and prosper, the rest is going to happen.”
