I am really concerned with the attached article in today's Projo. It appears that the Governor is digging his heals in on his budget and tax proposal. He has asked for alternatives, and is getting some recommendations. I really hope that he listens to different ideas as to how to fix our structural deficit problem for the long term. Tax increases alone can not do that, though to some extent they may well have to be a part of the solution.
Ken Block has offered his services, as have some others. It would be great if the Governor took all the help he can get. This is going to be a collective effort, as we're all in the same bad situation together.
