Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

The news about former Supreme Court Chief Justice Frank Willams is strange, to say the least. He's got himself entangled in a divorce case between a former driver (and court employee)and her ACI-guard husband. And a lot of the domestic doings that have come to light have to do with Williams' relationship with their young daughter. And then there's loose cannon lawyer Kevin McKenna, who's representing the husband, who has his own issues with Williams. We've heard about Williams' ego and personal quirks before this, but this situation is right out of an oddball TV sitcom, minus the laff-track.

  1. The sudden resignation of Judge Williams is starting to make sense now. This story is most unusual. I would caution however that the justice system in Rhode Island will take care of it's own.

  2. I sense there's a lot more to this than meets the eye. For starters, he should be named co-respondent in the divorce. Sit back and watch how his pals cover this one up. The PR spin will be interesting, too.

  3. They call him "Uncle Frank" in the DosReis household.

  4. This is really cool. Think about it. If Rhode Island politics weren't as corrupt as they are on the state and local levels, John White wouldn't need a blog and we would have nothing to comment about. It is easy to see why Rhode Islanders just shake their heads at stuff like this and say, "What do you expect. This is Rhode Island."
