Congratulations to RI's Moderate Party!

Rhode Island's own Moderate Party will be on the 2010 ballot thanks to almost 34,000 signatures gained. This is good news for Rhode Islanders looking for some alternative to the entrenched Democrats who, in service to their special interest labor friends, are running the state into the ground. Unlike the Republicans, perhaps the Moderate Party can actually put forward a slate of viable candidates for state and local offices. Check out the party's website at www.moderate-ri.org. and learn more.

  1. I agree wholeheartedly! Whether you agree with the Moderates or not, any alternative is a breath of fresh air. The status quo in the State House......dominant Democrats and inept Republicans needs change. It seems that both parties have forsaken the middle class. Neither party suits my needs. A third or even a fourth political party on the national scene would also be a welcome change.

  2. Perhaps this new party will move enough Rhode Islanders off the dime to vote for CONSTRUCTIVE candidates. Job One will be to show the Democratic Machine that there are plenty of people who are tired of getting ripped off and lied to.

  3. I agree 100 percent with the formation of a third party. The voters of RI really need to take a good look at who they keep re-electing to our legislature. This state needs a COMPLETE overhaul of the people representing them. We also need to open a discussion about impelmenting term limits - lifelong service is noble but does not bring with it new ideas.

  4. Unfortunately this 3rd party will only guarantee more democrat victories. As those who who vote against them will be diivided between the Moderate and Republican parties, the democrats will again be victorious and continue to rule this state into oblivion.
